Purpose-built premises with full complement of administrative and clinical staff, including 5 GPs, 1 Trainees, 2x PN, HCA, Pharmacists,.
We deliver a high standard of clinical care for our patients focusing on proactive personalised care, disease prevention and patient education. We are an active member of the Brompton Primary Care Network.

Main duties of the job
Clinical responsibilities
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, dealing with queries, referring patients as appropriate, paperwork and correspondence.
Making professional decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Job summary
Cumbria Medical Services is looking to recruit a Patient Booking Coordinator. Primarily the Booking Coordinator ensures the effective management of all incoming NHS referrals using the E-Referral system and ensures that adequate clinic slots are available at all times.
The role also involves handling of patient enquiries and requests courteously and efficiently and maintaining confidentiality of any information in connection with the work.
Carrying out other administrative tasks as the need arises, either to comply with current service regulations or accepted current medical practice, or for the best interests of the service to patients.
This is a permanent position for 3 days a week/22.5Hrs (Between Tuesday-Friday). The working days/pattern will be discussed with the successful applicant.
Our basic salary is £13.75 per hour, which may rise, dependent on the skills and experience of the candidates.
We also offer free private medical insurance once the probationary period has been successfully completed.
Holidays are 26 days per year plus 8 bank holidays, rising after 5 and 10 years.
We work in a small very friendly environment with modern facilities; tea and coffee are provided.

Main duties of the job
To answer incoming calls in a polite and professional manner
To retrieve referrals from the e-RS software.
To ensure that all new and follow-up patients receive an appointment within appropriate clinical and administrative timescales.
To co-ordinate with the Rota Co-ordinator to ensure that an adequate number of clinic appointment slots are available at all times on the clinical system
To monitor clinic cancellations, and to ensure the patients demographic details, clinic waiting times and other key data are accurately checked and actioned as necessary.
To reschedule patient appointments which result in the cancellation of a clinic, ensuring that clinic slots are correctly cancelled and reallocated.
To liaise with the GPwSI and or relevant GP on matters relating to clinical care.
To respond to any queries from patients regarding administration of clinics and appropriately refer any clinical matters to the GPwSI in charge.
To ensure the use of the internal system and associated systems are carried out according to practice guidelines and procedures
To maintain appropriate patient records and spreadsheets including results and patient satisfaction.

Job summary
We are looking for a creative, innovative and motivated advanced practitioner to support the delivery of Occupational Therapy (OT) within Long term conditions Neurology team, based at St Woolos Hospital.
Extensive clinical experience of rehabilitation and neurology is essential. Work as part of the neurology team and as the wider OT team across ABUHB, to deliver high quality, evidence-based OT intervention with individuals who have a neurological condition.
The post holder will deliver advanced clinical interventions along with the development of a consultancy model, utilising evidence-based practice, taking an active role in undertaking service/clinical evaluations, audit and research.
The post offers opportunity to deliver a wide variety of assessments and interventions with individuals in their own homes, community locations as well as in clinic settings. To becreative in treatment planning, and work with Individuals over focused periods of time to support them in achieving varied goals.
The post holder should show commitment to continually developing knowledge, skills and experience in condition management, complex moving and handling, adaptations, specialist seating and support the development of team members and students as part of their clinical leadership role.
Postgraduate experience of working with individuals with neurological conditions is essential as is the ability to work flexibly and proactively to deliver a prompt and clinically effective service.
Main duties of the job
Professional aspects of the Occupational Therapy role include:
Utilise advanced knowledge and skills from a varied clinical background, including in a neurological setting, to assess, treat and manage a varied caseload.
Identify and prioritise the people who will be most likely to benefit from occupational therapy intervention.
Independent, confident decision-making and clinical reasoning with a complex and varied caseload.
Work jointly with the multi-disciplinary team to optimise the impact of occupational therapy.
Identify and implement changes to support the development of this emerging role and service.
Utilise and implement the growing evidence base for occupational therapy practice using a consultancy model, contributing to this where possible.
Deliver a range of occupationally focused assessment and intervention techniques and will join a team that works with people in the community to deliver place-based support to prevent unnecessary admissions, maintain and improve the individual's functional abilities and overall quality of life.

Join our friendly and dedicated Eating Disorder Intensive Treatment Team (ED-ITT) as a Medical Secretary and play a vital role in supporting a specialist service that is currently expanding through a number of exciting new developments and recruitment opportunities. Main duties of the job
As a Medical Secretary within our specialist Eating Disorder Intensive Treatment Team, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient delivery of patient care and ensuring the smooth running of the service. Working closely with clinicians, particularly the new to recruit consultant psychiatrist and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate a range of administrative activities, and help maintain effective communication across the service.

You will contribute to a busy specialist service that supports individuals with eating disorders, helping to ensure patients receive timely and well-coordinated care while working as part of a supportive and dedicated team.

Main duties of the job
Using EMIS, you will consult via telephone, video or face to face, according to patient needs. (Full training and support for remote consultations will be available if required). Main duties of the job
Your will be expected to take an active role within reception (switchboard, desk, prescriptions, home visits, dealing with results, notifications, tasks, dealing with external health professionals and attached staff), setting up consulting rooms, re-stocking trolley's and sweep rooms at the close of business, dealing with all manner of tasks regarding appointments, complete all staff mandatory training (attending staff meetings or e-learning toolkit), first point of contact to deal with general enquiries from patients or general public, be aware of any lab results which are phoned to surgery and ensuring that these are dealt with appropriately. You will be part of our Action Task Group and deal with any outstanding tasks, proactively recruit patients to appointments for LTC reviews and NHS Health checks where appropriate, proactively read and review polices and protocols to ensure efficient running of reception.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is a pharmacist, who acts within their professional boundaries, supporting and working alongside a team in general practice. Two Rivers Medical Centrehas an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis, for 18 to 25 hours, per week. Hours of work will be between 7am to 7pm, with 2 to 3 available shift patterns. The receptionist plays a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice,helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone.
Main duties of the job
- Greeting and directing all patients.
- Making appointments.
- Answering queries and complaints from patients and outside agencies, signposting to the appropriate staff member as appropriate.
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.
- Advising patients of practice procedures.

Job summary
The neurosurgery department is an established department with a team of nine Consultants with subspecialties in Neuro-Oncology, Vascular, Pituitary, Skull base and Spine. The department provides Neurosurgical services to the adult population of Coventry, Warwickshire and North Worcestershire. UHCW is a designated major trauma centre for Coventry, Warwickshire and Northampton, a designated cancer centre and hyper acute Stroke unit.
Main duties of the job
As part of our commitment to patients and delivery of a world class service for all we have created the UHCW Improvement (UHCWi) System in partnership with the Virginia Mason Institute in Seattle; this involves a structured approach to removing waste and putting the patient first using a lean management system and methodologies. Our culture and ways of working reflect and embed the practices and methodologies of UHCWi. You are expected, where identified, to attend and complete relevant training and development opportunities to support this. This may include Lean for Leaders, Advanced Lean Training, and the Human Factors Programme, amongst others.

Job description
Job responsibilities
a. Undertake appropriate audits in Neurovascular/Skull base under supervision of the Neurovascular/Skull base team one Neurovascular/Skull base audit is mandatory.
b. Provide, and develop further with clinical colleagues, neurosurgical services for the Trust in collaboration with colleagues in all disciplines including primary and tertiary care, where appropriate, to provide an integrated service for patients.
c. Attend Neurovascular/Skull base clinics
d. Attend daily ward rounds for inpatients when on ward duty
e. Facilitate timely discharge of patients
f. Participate in the consultation service and advisory service to other clinical colleagues in other specialties within the Trust and Primary Care.
g. Participate in the development of the neurosurgery service, treatment protocols and guidelines and the greater knowledge in the management of neurosurgical conditions within skull base and/or Neurovascular Neurosurgery.
h. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with medical colleagues in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and other post graduate activities.
i. Participate in the on-call rota (includes prospective cover) so that appropriate emergency services are provided out-of-normal working hours.
j. Take responsibility for the professional supervision and development of trainee doctors within the specialty.
k. Develop and maintain good communications with General Practitioners and appropriate external agencies.
l. Demonstrate a firm involvement in Clinical Governance, Risk Management and Clinical Audit this will include the development and maintenance of appropriate systems and practices to ensure continued safe clinical practice. Ensure attendance at appropriate governance meetings
m. Ensure own practice is up-to-date; this will include taking responsibility for own Clinical Professional Development and participating in the Trusts Performance and Annual Review system.
n. Share responsibility for data protection arising out of the use of computers.
o. Accountable for improving and complying with infection control practices.
