Job summary
We are looking for a General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team at Spilsby Surgery, a rural dispensing practice serving Spilsby and the surrounding communities.
We are proud of the team we have at Spilsby and the supportive, collaborative environment we are continuing to build. Our focus is simple to provide excellent patient care within a practice where people feel valued, supported and able to contribute.
As the practice continues to grow and develop, we are looking for a GP who wants to be part of that development. We want you to feel part of the practice, not simply part of the rota; to bring your own experience and ideas, have a voice in how we move forward and play an active role in shaping the future of Spilsby Surgery.
Main duties of the job
As a GP at Spilsby Surgery, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred care to our varied rural population, working closely with our established clinical team and wider practice staff.
You will manage a varied general practice workload, including consultations, clinical decision-making, prescribing, referrals, reviewing results and correspondence, and contributing to the ongoing care of our patients.
Collaborative working is an important part of how we work at Spilsby. Our clinicians have protected time for daily clinical discussion, alongside regular weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, providing opportunities to discuss patients, share expertise and support one another.
Alongside your clinical work, we want you to bring your own experience, ideas and interests to the practice. Whether developing a clinical interest, contributing to quality improvement or helping us shape and develop our services, this is a role where you can make a real contribution to both the care we provide today and the practice we are building for the future.
About us
Spilsby Surgery brings together a broad multidisciplinary team including GPs, nursing staff, advanced practitioners, dispensary, care navigation and administrative colleagues, with strong links to the wider healthcare teams supporting our local population.
Working in a rural practice offers real variety. Our patients span all ages and backgrounds, and our work extends beyond the surgery through the care we provide to local care homes and housebound patients. As a dispensing practice, we are also able to offer a broader insight into the complete patient journey and work closely across our clinical and dispensary teams.
There is a real sense of teamwork across the practice, with clinical and non-clinical colleagues working closely alongside each other as one team. We value different perspectives and believe that good ideas can come from anywhere within the team.
The role offers NHS Pension Scheme membership and the opportunity to join an established team with the variety and professional satisfaction that comes with being at the heart of healthcare within a rural community.

We are recruiting two Salaried General Practitioners to join our expanding team, with opportunities based in Oldham and North Manchester. As a collaborative group of practices, we are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while embracing innovation, digital transformation and new models of general practice.
This is a varied and rewarding role, combining face-to-face consultations, home visits and sessions within our Digital Triage Hub, where you will help deliver timely, efficient access to care and support the ongoing development of modern primary care services.
You'll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, including established GP Trainers, within a supportive organisation that values collaboration, clinical excellence and professional development. As we continue to grow, we have ambitious plans to expand our GP training programme and develop the next generation of General Practitioners. Whether you are already a trainer or aspire to become one, you'll have opportunities to contribute to education, mentorship and service development.
If you're looking for more than a traditional salaried GP role and want to help shape the future of general practice within an innovative and supportive organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried General Practitioner within our group, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while contributing to the continued development of modern general practice.
The role offers variety and flexibility, combining traditional face-to-face clinical sessions with digital-first care through our Digital Triage Hub. You will assess and manage a wide range of patient presentations, provide clinical decision-making and support timely access to care across our practices.
You will work collaboratively with GPs, ARRS colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership, supervision and support where appropriate, including contributing to the development of our wider workforce.
The role includes responsibility for providing safe and effective patient care through consultations, telephone reviews, digital triage, home visits and appropriate follow-up. You will contribute to quality improvement, service development and the ongoing evolution of care pathways across our organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who wants to be part of an innovative and supportive team, with opportunities to contribute to the future direction of primary care, support GP education and help develop the next generation of clinicians.
About us
We are a growing, values-driven group of GP practices serving communities across Greater Manchester, committed to delivering outstanding primary care through collaboration, innovation and compassion.
Our practices work together to share expertise, resources and clinical leadership, creating a supportive environment where GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team can thrive. We believe in working collaboratively, embracing new ways of delivering care and continually improving the services we provide for our patients.
Our teams include experienced GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Care Coordinators and other ARRS colleagues, all working together to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
We are passionate about developing our workforce and supporting career progression. With established GP Trainers across the group and ambitious plans to expand our training programme, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of General Practitioners while supporting our existing clinicians to develop specialist interests, leadership skills and educational roles.
We offer a friendly, inclusive and supportive working environment where your ideas are valued, your wellbeing matters, and you will have the opportunity to influence the future direction of general practice while making a real difference to the communities we serve.
