Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team at The Beeches Medical Practice in Shrewsbury from 1st April 2027. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed General Practitioner to work 8 sessions a week. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while contributing to the ongoing development of our progressive training practice.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and compassionate GP to contribute to the ongoing success of our practice.
The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner, providing comprehensive medical services to our registered patient population while delivering the highest standards of clinical care. The post holder will:

Are you ready to transform MSK care at the frontline of Primary Care?
We are delighted to be recruiting a Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner (APP) to join our established and forward thinking team on a full-time basis.
In this onsite role, you will work within GP practices as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing, diagnosing and managing MSK patients at the first point of contact with full autonomy and strong clinical support. You will be embedded within your allocated practices, working closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, mental health practitioners, reception teams and wider MDT colleagues to deliver integrated, personalised care.
You will have the opportunity to develop and apply advanced clinical skills, supported by protected CPD time and structured supervision.
Main duties of the job
As an Advanced First Contact Physiotherapist, you will be a qualified autonomous clinical practitioner working in GP practices who can assess, diagnose, treat, and manage musculoskeletal (MSK) problems and undifferentiated conditions, and where appropriate, discharge a person without a medical referral. FCPs working in this role can be accessed directly by self-referral or staff in GP practices can direct patients to them to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan to streamline pathways of care.
Advanced First Contact Physiotherapists are core to the successful delivery of our outsourced FCP service model. In this role you will deliver clinical work in line with your fellow FCP colleagues, but also support the organisation in providing clinical supervision to your peers, and with PCN service mobilisation / account management.
