Job summary
The post-holder will work within the Enhanced Access Team ensuring the provision of high-quality customer focussed medical administration to the primary care networks in relation to the enhanced access service.
Main duties of the job
To administrate the referrals directed by GPs and clinicians working in the service.
To assist with monitoring and reporting on workload for all clinical sessions to support service reporting requirements and inform future delivery and planning.
To identify and report operational risks to service delivery in accordance with the Organisational Risk Management Policy to minimise risk and to share learning.
To liaise with Service Manager to ensure gaps in the service are addressed.

Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide full medical administration support for the access service.
Ensuring that all referrals completed comply to strict governance, documentation and are safety netted.
Supporting GPs and clinicians working on the Access Service in the correct administration and path of their referral to ensure effective communication with secondary care.
To compile letters as directed by GPs and clinicians within the Access Service to support patients medical referrals.
To have knowledge of the referral pathway and secondary care provision.
To provide support when needed to the operations of the Access Service
To give required detailed reports of medical referrals to the Service Manager and Head of Operations when required
Responding to queries and giving informed support to GP Practice staff regarding the Access Service.

Conduct adult and child immunisations including COVID-19, influenza, MMR, pneumonia, RSV, shingles, whooping cough and other vaccines as per national guidelines.
Perform blood tests, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and routine physical health assessments.
