Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Booking, amending, and cancelling appointments.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
- Updating and maintaining patient records accurately.
- Processing prescription requests and directing them to the appropriate team.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and letters.
- Handling confidential patient information in line with GDPR and NHS policies.
- Liaising with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assisting patients with registration and administrative forms.
- Managing waiting room flow and ensuring patients receive appropriate assistance.
