Main duties of the job
This is a hands-on, patient-facing clinical support role working closely with the nursing and wider multidisciplinary team to promote health, prevent illness, and support the ongoing management of patients across the practice.
You will carry out a range of clinical tasks including patient health checks, observations, phlebotomy, urine testing, and ECG recording where trained, supporting both routine and long-term condition monitoring. The role also involves assisting with vaccination programmes, wound care, suture and staple removal where appropriate, and providing patients with health promotion advice to support self-care and wellbeing.
You will maintain accurate and timely clinical records, respond to patient queries, and work collaboratively across the practice to ensure smooth, safe, and effective care delivery. Job summary
The post holder will be a member of the administration team working under direct supervision of the Business Manager. This is a varied role with much of the work undertaken being highly confidential and of a sensitive nature.
The successful applicant will be an experienced and reliable individual who is able to deliver efficient financial processes for the practice having previous experience and knowledge of cloud based Xero accounting systems. They must have experience of banking, petty cash, purchase and sales ledger. A high level of accuracy is essential. This is a part time position offering between 25 and 28 hours per week. The working pattern is flexible for the role and this will be agreed with the successful candidate.

The postholder will provide financial, administrative and operational support . Key responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and reconciliations, managing income and expenditure records, stock ordering and control, supporting private work invoicing, and assisting with financial reporting.
