Main duties of the job
As an Assistant Technical Officer, your responsibilities are as follows:
Pharmacy Stores Responsibilities:
- Topping up stock medicines for use in wards and clinical areas across the Trust using a predefined stock list.
- Receiving medicines into the Trust, ensuring accurate documentation and organisation, and appropriate storage and handling.
- Handling the recycling process for medicines no longer required by patients or ward areas.
- Following guidance and instructions carefully whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
- Working across both Leighton Hospital and Victoria Infirmary Northwich sites is required. Travel between the sites is required using own transport or public transport, with travel expenses reimbursed in line with the Trust Expenses Policy.
Dispensary Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medicines for both inpatients and outpatients against prescriptions.
- Preparing medicines for discharge.
- Ensuring you are careful and follow guidance and instructions carefully throughout.
In both settings, your role is vital. Your attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and dedication to patient wellbeing will contribute significantly to the high standards of service we uphold in the Pharmacy Department. This position offers a well-rounded experience, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the entire medication management process.

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available within Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) to join our innovative and friendly team of Physiotherapists as a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant. There is a part time MSK post available (34.75hrs a week) and is based at Leighton Hospital outpatients and various community base settings within CCICP.
Your application should detail your experience to date and give clear reasons for applying for this post. An Assistant Practitioner (AP) qualification is essential for this role.
Our mentorship programme offers regular supervision, setting objectives, promoting self-analysis and development. Your development will be supported.
You will benefit from regular CPD with access to advice and support from our Physiotherapists, receiving Peer Review sessions, and participating in in-service training.
If you are a motivated individual who likes to work within a supportive Physiotherapy framework, developing independent working and wishes to gain experience in the wider health community we would like to hear from you.

Job summary
This role is to provide expertise in the specialist clinical area of Pathway 2 rehabilitation and assessment community bed base, as lead clinician and co-ordinator within CCICP. It will involve high level clinical triage and knowledge alongside strategic planning and project management to ensure all strands of Pathway 2 rehabilitation, across the CCICP footprint, is provided in a responsive, timely and equitable service delivery.
The post holder will work in conjunction with key partners across CCICP and MCHT,in the planning, development and delivery of Pathway 2 and act as a central liaison and resource for referrals requiring a timely and pathway appropriate response.
The role holder will work collaboratively with Care Community Therapy Team Leads to ensure a consistent rehab therapy led model is embedded across multiple sites. Adopting a Home First approach to ensuring patients can return to their own environment, to continue their rehab journey at the earliest opportunity.
The role holder's base will be IPOCH Hub in BIU Leighton Hospital, Crewe however they will be expected to travel to D2A bedded sites across the Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) footprint.
Main duties of the job
- To manage a highly specialist case load, demonstrating appropriate time management and organisation skills.
- To ensure effective day to day organisation and provision of service to meet service priorities across all Pathway 2 sites.
- To provide clinical leadership and support to the MDT, through case supervision, and the development and monitoring of therapy provision and safe discharge of patients in pathway 2 bedded units within CCICP's remit.
- To actively contribute innovate ideas and lead on the development and implementation of service improvements in collaboration with system colleagues and within relevant Pathway 2 groups.
- To contribute to the development and delivery of service objectives, leading on designated projects, focusing on discharge to assess pathways.

Job summary
Band 6 - Alcohol Care Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated nurse to Join the Alcohol Care Team within our acute care trust here at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking an inspirational nurse; you must possess strong leadership qualities, have the ability to implement new initiatives and the courage to drive forward future developments.
To be successful in this venture the post holder will need to develop systems which support effective management and care of individuals who present to hospital with either primary or secondary issues relating to alcohol.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead a specialist area of practice, providing expert professional advice to others across the Trust within agreed guidelines and protocols, including medical colleagues and other professional groups when required.
2. Perform comprehensive specialist assessment of patients, plan, treat and evaluate care within agreed guidelines and protocols according to evidence-based practice and changing health needs.
3. Communicate complex specialist information to medical colleagues and others. Refer patients to appropriate clinicians, in the Trust or externally, within agreed guidelines and protocols, according to assessment of patient need and evidence based decision.

As part of a collaborative venture between The Christie NHS Trust and MCHFT to develop clinical haematology services, the Christie is pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a specialist clinical pharmacist to join the clinical haematology team This is a unique opportunity to work with us at a new peripheral centre based on the Mid Cheshire Hospitals site and contribute to the challenging and rewarding specialty of haemato-oncology pharmacy, delivering advanced clinical care to patients with haematological cancers and general haematological conditions.
We are integral members of the MDT, and we are expanding our roles in existing services such out-patient clinics and peripheral site services, which the post-holder will develop alongside the Lead Pharmacists. We are also developing links with the University of Manchester and working on collaborative projects at the main site, with scope to role this out further at peripheral sites.The postholder must possess an independent prescribing qualification to assist in the MDT outpatient clinics. They will play a key role in the future development of outpatient services within the highly regarded haematology MDT, implementing new initiatives in collaboration with the Lead Haematology Pharmacist and Lead Pharmacist for Clinical Services.
Main duties of the job

Job summary
Applications are invited for a 12 month fixed term Specialist Doctor post in Palliative Care, covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will be a clinical expert in end of life care, working autonomously as a senior non-Consultant within the Specialist Palliative Care Service. They will conduct independent patient visits, formulate management plans, and manage the full range of presentations, while recognising their limits and adhering to the national Specialist grade capabilities framework.
Working as part of an established and growing specialist palliative team to provide expert and compassionate care across Community, Hospice and Hospital you will be joining at an exciting time to develop and shape the specialist palliative care service within central Cheshire.
Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including a License to Practice.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a defined caseload and client group, providing highly specialised information to patients and staff, evaluating existing care and providing innovative and novel models of care. Their scope will include care assessment, intervention, evaluation, investigation and the development of new knowledge; especially within the areas where no precedent exists in order to enhance and advance services and health direction.
