Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated GP Receptionist to join our friendly practice team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming reception service while supporting the smooth running of the practice.
Essential- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good IT and keyboard skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Organised with good attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Previous GP reception or NHS experience.
- Knowledge of EMIS Web.
- Experience of working in a customer-facing role.

- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

- Processing repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice procedures.
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Supporting clinicians and the wider practice team with administrative tasks.
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
