Job summary
To provide a professional, proactive and sensitive service to bereaved relatives, whilst ensuring the Trust's statutory obligations are fulfilled. To take part in continuously review practice and develop policies which incorporate national guidance and Human Tissue Authority Legislation. To work closely with other key professionals both within and outside the Trust in order to meet individual needs. To promote an awareness of bereavement issue within a multi faith, multi-cultural environment.
The post holder will work in parallel with the Medical Examiner's Office and work alongside the Medical Examiners Officers and Medical Examiner to provide a service.
Main duties of the job
Liaising with both internal and external users of the service, by phone and in person.
To take part in daily meetings with the bereavement supervisor to discuss daily deaths.
To assist the bereaved by answering any questions they may raise, arranging for them to speak or contact the most appropriate person or agency. To deal with bereaved persons who may have difficult family situations or circumstances.
Liaise with the Anatomy office, regarding donation of bodies left to medical science.
Liaise with the hospital chaplaincy team for spiritual support for the bereaved.
Liaise with the bereavement midwife, delivery suite and SCBU following the death of a baby.
Liaise with funeral directors or authorised persons
Ensure cultural and religious beliefs are respected and complied with at all times.
Notify General Practitioners of deaths.
To be familiar with Q-Pulse quality system and ensure all documents are read and acknowledged when reviewed and updated.
To be familiar with Eden and ensure that all communication is recorded on Eden.
To take part in the writing of condolence cards and ensure these are sent to families within 4 weeks of the death.
To take part in arranging and facilitating visits with family members.

Job summary
This is an exciting new role which has been established to support with delivering the newly established Weight Management Service at King's College Hospital. The post holder will work with the Principal Pharmacist for Planned Medicine and wider medical obesity team to establish outpatient clinics for initiating patients on pharmacotherapy. The postholder will work closely with the wider MDT to monitor and clinically review patients initiated on pharmacotherapy, and play a key role in independently prescribing their ongoing treatment.
The successful candidate will support with the development of treatment pathways both within the organisation and in collaboration with SEL ICB colleagues, offering an excellent opportunity for networking and sharing experiences. The postholder will also contribute to local audit and key performance indicator monitoring. The role will also involve working with the wider Endocrinology team to support with delivering departmental priorities.
This role will participate in providing seven day services to the pharmacy department in line with departmental policies, with a need to provide senior on-call support (off-site).

Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the post holder will be to:
- Deputise for the Principal Pharmacist,Planned Medicine
- Act as a specialist role model and an expert in medical management
- Lead and manage the clinical pharmacy services to Obesity (Endocrinology)in conjunction with the Principal Pharmacist
- Participate regularly in outpatient clinics to deliver and promote high quality, cost-effective and patient-focused pharmaceutical care
- Act as a pharmacist independent prescriber to optimise the care of patients
- Ensure a high level of clinical pharmacy input to the care of patients
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds, delivering and promoting high quality, cost-effective, patient-focused pharmaceutical care

Job summary
This advert is for a Locum (Maternity leave cover) Consultant post for 9 months within the Hepatology Service at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The postholder will have a specific focus on Viral Hepatitis and the South East London (SEL) Viral Hepatitis Operational Delivery Network (ODN) which is hosted here at King's. The ODNs form a national framework of networks specialist commissioned to deliver on the Hepatitis C Elimination Programme and recently expanded to also include Hepatitis B. In addition, the individual will be the clinical lead for the Community Liver Health Checks workstream across SEL and wider Liver Surveillance initiatives being driven by South East London Cancer Alliance and overseen by the ODN.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established programme driving delivery of national, regional and local priorities, including the NHS 10 Year Plan (2025) and NHS Cancer Plan (2026). This role supports the shift from hospital to community, advances prevention through earlier diagnosis of liver disease, and tackles health inequalities by improving access to hepatitis and liver health surveillance for underserved communities.
Main duties of the job
As well as acting as key member of the Hepatology and Viral Hepatitis multi-disciplinary team at King's, the post holder will support the ODN Programme Manager in overseeing and implementing Viral Hepatitis Elimination initiatives in SEL. This includes, but is not limited to:o Building and maintaining effective relationships with clinical leads across SEL in particular at spoke sites and GP Champions leading on the primary care elimination workstream.o Providing specialist input and guidance for projects and pieces of work within the programme.o Representing the ODN at regional and national meetings, alongside the Programme Manager and providing regular update reports both internally and externally as required.
They will also provide clinical leadership and oversight of both the SEL Community Liver Health Checks (CLHC) project and the SEL Liver Surveillance projects underway with the South East London Cancer Alliance (SELCA).

The team is comprised of a Principal Prescribing Support Dietitian (B8), x 2 Senior Specialist PSD (B7), x3 Paediatric PSDs (B7), x3 Specialist PSDs (B6) and x2 Advanced Dietetic Assistants (B4).

Main duties of the job
The aim of this service is to improve and standardise care pathways and achieve best-value care for patients requiring oral nutrition support in SEL.
As well as reviewing patients who have been prescribed nutrition supplements, the team work collaboratively alongside Primary Care Networks, acute care dietetic teams and community care homes to ensure that patients are receiving optimal nutritional care along their treatment pathways.
The service provides training and guidance to GPs, pharmacists and other community healthcare teams on the identification and treatment of malnutrition in the community and appropriate use of oral nutrition support prescription products.
The service will improve the quality of nutritional care that patients at risk from malnutrition receive whilst at the same time ensuring local healthcare resources are used effectively and efficiently.
You will need to be a motivated self-starter who can engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders. You will need to be good at analysing data and will be expected to complete reports to regular deadlines as well as having excellent clinical dietetics skills
As a senior member of the team, responsibilities will also include clinical support and supervision of junior team members, induction and student training responsibilities. The role will also require leadership of SEL-wide working groups such as care home and secondary care working groups and associated workstreams.

- To use local prescribing systems and GP notes to identify patients being prescribed ONS, review their nutrition care plans and modify these appropriately in conjunction with the GP / practice pharmacist.
- Provide education/training sessions and discuss patient care plans with HCPs across SEL in a variety of healthcare settings, including but no limited to GPs and care homes
- To provide expert advice to clinicians, patients and carers regarding provision of nutritional support for patients based on clinical evidence. This will involve nutritional assessment, to include the calculation of nutritional requirements based on the interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometry clinical condition and other physical parameters.
