An opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our dedicated teams based on Herm & St Brelades Wards, Alderney Hospital.

The inpatients services are for Older Persons with a organic or functional mental health diagnosis.

We are looking for a desire to engage, motivate and innovate within this specialised and autonomous role. You will have advanced skills and be able to assess, diagnose and formulate a clinical management plan for the patients with complex, chronic illnesses or requiring end of life care.

Working together with Primary Care, Community Services, Social Services and the Voluntary Sector to provide enhanced and pro-active care.

Applicants should have a broad experience working within community or urgent care settings at a senior level and knowledge of working within the field of older peoples care. You must have proven experience of working across the pillars of Advanced Practice and are expected to have successfully completed the MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner programme and be a non-medical prescriber.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality person centred care which always considers peoples' safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence based.

As part of a multi-professional team, the post holder will practice autonomously, whilst being accountable and self directed in line with the relevant code of professional conduct. Plan and manage complete episodes of care; undertake independent comprehensive assessment and management of service users to incorporate pharmacological considerations; making complex clinical decisions regarding service usermanagement and clinical outcomes. To provide expert clinical advice and leadership ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis and advanced decision making skills.

To lead as a driver for change, to monitor and improve standards through supervision, evidence based practice, clinical audit, research and education. To work strategically, contributing to the planning and development of integrated services

Main duties of the job

You will undertake advanced clinical assessments, develop formulations, and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with complex mental health needs. A key aspect of the role is providing clinical leadership and oversight of the patient journey, supporting timely access to services, effective care planning, and monitoring patient flow to identify and address barriers to care. The post holder will help ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time.

The Senior Clinical Practitioner will hold a specialist caseload, delivering individual, group, and family interventions, and undertaking comprehensive risk assessment and management to support safe, effective clinical decision-making.

The role includes providing consultation, supervision, and professional support to multidisciplinary colleagues, working collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated care. Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our supportive and developing specialist service, where you will provide clinical leadership, contribute to service development and help shape the future of Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) and At-Risk Mental State (ARMS) services across Dorset. This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to develop the service.

Based at the Hillcrest Unit in Bournemouth, you will work as part of a pan-Dorset multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care. EIP supports people aged 14-65, while ARMS supports young people aged 14-35.

This varied role offers the opportunity to provide specialist clinical expertise in the assessment and management of complex mental health presentations, including psychosis. You will undertake new patient assessments, medical reviews, Mental Health Act assessments, tribunal work and care planning, delivered across clinic, community and home settings where appropriate.

You will join a supportive, forward-thinking specialist service committed to high-quality, recovery focused care and excellent patient outcomes. The ARMS service is primarily psychologically led, with medical oversight from the Consultant Psychiatrist. Referrals come from community, CMHT, primary care and inpatient services, providing an opportunity to work across the wider general adult pathway.

As the Consultant Psychiatrist you'll provide clinical leadership and expert psychiatric assessment and management within the EIP and ARMS services. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, including an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care in clinic and community settings

You'll contribute to new assessments, medical reviews, Mental Health Act assessments, tribunals, discharge planning and collaborative care with community mental health teams, inpatient services and primary care. You'll also support the interface between EIP, ARMS and the wider general adult pathway.

We offer a £10,000 recruitment and retention payment, paid monthly during your first year, plus relocation support of up to £10,000 for eligible candidates moving to Dorset. Job summary

Are you a compassionate phlebotomist? Our Weymouth and Portland Community Team based at Weymouth Community Hospital are looking for a Community Phlebotomist to join their experienced team.

As the Community Phlebotomist you will support the DN and Anticoagulation teams and housebound patients with their venepuncture requirements. You will be able to work autonomously and manage your own workload (with support). You will be expected to visit patients in their own homes to take required bloods tests and deliver them back to the collection points in a timely manner.

The Community Phlebotomist is a part time role of 24 hours per week, 4 days a week, Monday to Friday. We like to promote a positive work life balance; we can be flexible with how working hours can be met. This includes start and finish times to support childcare/carers responsibilities. Main duties of the job

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service as apart-time (6 PA) Consultant Psychiatrist in Learning Disability Psychiatry, as part of the reconfiguration of Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability (Learning Disability) provision within the Community Learning Disability Teams in Dorset.

As the consultant psychiatrist you'll provide acommunity psychiatry service for adults with learning disabilitiesacross the Purbeck and Ferndown areas. The role does not include epilepsy management, which is provided by the specialist Dorset Epilepsy Service within the Neurology service.

You will be supported by experienced colleagues in Learning Disability Psychiatry and will work as part of awell-established, integrated Community Learning Disability Team, with additional support from the Intensive Support Team. You'll contribute to weekly IST review meetings and the wider development of community-based Learning Disability services.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of community-based Learning Disability services, working collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities across Dorset.

Main duties of the job

You'll provide psychiatric leadership, assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adults with learning disabilities, alongside psychiatric input to patients supported by the IST. Clinical work will be a combination of clinics and home visits. The role includes medical cross-cover for annual, study and emergency sick leave with Consultant colleagues across the adult Learning Disability service.

Dorset Healthcare is offering an exciting opportunity for a CAMHS consultant to join our Weymouth and Portland team on a part time basis.

As the CAMHS consultant you will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, alongside a Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Service Manager and a Team Leader. The clinical aspects of the post arise from an overall role to lead the team in the provision of effective assessment and treatment services for patients aged up to 18 years. The role includes a focus on supporting improvements in the process of transition to the adult mental health services as and when appropriate.

There is daily team huddle (handover and wellbeing online meeting), in addition to weekly MDT meetings and regular business and senior management team meetings. You will work within the Weymouth core CAMHS team and provide comprehensive community-based services to young people up to the age of 18 registered with general practitioners.

We offer a generous relocation package of up to £10,000 if you are moving to Dorset.

As a senior professional your role will naturally include activities supporting both direct clinical contact and service delivery. Examples of these activities include policy development, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, appraising colleagues, line management or other nominated roles. A job plan will be developed by the Medical Lead for CAMHS with you and reviewed annually. You will be expected to maintain Section 12 (2) and be an Approved Clinician.

As the CAMHS consultant you will work with colleagues in Weymouth & Portland and West Dorset core CAMHS to cover emergency work and to keep waiting lists within the Trust agreed limits.

The post attracts 10 days per year of study leave and an annual study leave budget of up to £1000.

You'll join the weekly on-call rota which is Dorset wide and attracts at 3% on call availability supplement plus 0.75 APA per week. We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our supportive and developing specialist service, where you will provide clinical leadership, contribute to service development and help shape the future of Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) and At-Risk Mental State (ARMS) services across Dorset.

Based at the Hillcrest Unit in Bournemouth, you will work as part of a pan-Dorset multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care. EIP supports people aged 14-65, while ARMS supports young people aged 14-35.

This varied role offers the opportunity to provide specialist clinical expertise in the assessment and management of complex mental health presentations, including psychosis. You will undertake new patient assessments, medical reviews, Mental Health Act assessments, tribunal work and care planning, delivered across clinic, community and home settings where appropriate.

You will join a supportive, forward-thinking specialist service committed to high-quality, recovery focused care and excellent patient outcomes. The ARMS service is primarily psychologically led, with medical oversight from the Consultant Psychiatrist.
