Job summary
Make a Real Difference to Local People
Are you passionate about tackling deprivation, improving wellbeing and helping people navigate financial hardship?
Wyre Forest Health Partnership & WFNIPs is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Financial Resilience Coordinator to join our Neighbourhood Outreach Team.
This is an exciting new role working across primary care, community services and the voluntary sector to help residents experiencing financial pressures, debt, deprivation, social isolation and the wider impacts of the cost-of-living crisis.
Working closely with Social Prescribers, GP practices, local authorities and community organisations, you will provide practical support that helps people stabilise immediate financial difficulties and build longer-term financial resilience. The role directly supports the ambitions of the Worcestershire Crisis and Resilience Fund, which focuses on crisis prevention, financial resilience and stronger community support networks.
You will provide direct casework, advocacy and practical support rather than simple signposting, helping individuals access the services and resources they need to improve their financial wellbeing. This reflects the identified need for hands-on support, warm handovers and ongoing case management.
Main duties of the job
About the Role
You will be embedded within our Neighbourhood Outreach Coordinator Team and work alongside social prescribing and community wellbeing services to identify and support residents who may be experiencing:
- Financial hardship
- Debt concerns
- Benefit issues
- Fuel poverty
- Housing-related financial difficulties
- Social isolation linked to financial pressures
- Barriers to accessing advice and support
You will provide direct casework, advocacy and practical support rather than simple signposting, helping individuals access the services and resources they need to improve their financial wellbeing. This reflects the identified need for hands-on support, warm handovers and ongoing case management.
About us
Wyre Forest Health Partnership:one successful and ambitious health partnership working at scale together to provide high quality innovative patient care, delivered by a valued and respected team.
WFHP has been operating since December 2014 as a single Partnership, operating out of 5 surgeries, 3 are purpose built. Professional Members - Prostate Cancer: diagnosis and management
NICE – The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence View all jobs
Posted 6 day(s) ago
Reference: 907-CM-8317312
Job summary
We are seeking an additional medical oncologist to join our prostate cancer committee and assist us with the update of our existing recommendations on docetaxel and abiraterone for high-risk hormone-sensitive non-metastatic prostate cancer, and active surveillance (AS) for localised prostate cancer:
Please note: NICE will reimburse locum backfill for committee members that are working in NHS general practice and a locum is needed to allow their attendance on NICE business. We will also reimburse members on Agenda for Change or equivalent contracts. Details can be found in the non-staff reimbursement policy attached.
Closing date: Midnight on Thursday 15th October 2026.
If you have an access requirement that prevents you from applying online, please contact [email protected] and we can provide MS word versions of the forms to complete.
Main duties of the job
Committee members agree to:
- Set aside enough time to attend committee meetings and use their personal and professional knowledge to inform the development of the guidance
- Raise any concerns about process or details in the draft guidance with the committee, and try to resolve these issues within the committee, with support from the guidance developer or the NICE guidance project team
- Contribute positively to the work of the committee and to developing the guidance
- Take full account of the evidence in developing recommendations
- Consider the analysis and interpretation of evidence prepared by the evidence review team
- Act in a professional manner, show good manners and be courteous to colleagues and staff at all times (committee members should behave in a polite, efficient and respectful manner and without bias or favour, using the highest standards of conduct expected in public life and service while on NICE duty)
- Be impartial and honest in conducting their duties for NICE, use public funds entrusted to them to the best advantage of NICE, and avoid deliberately damaging the confidence of the public or stakeholders in NICE
- Ensure strict adherence to NICE's Principles and equality policy.
- Read and adhere to NICE's policies on hospitality, declarations of interests and travel and subsistence.
About us
The position of committee member is unpaid. NICE will pay reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, including train fares and hotel costs when necessary, for attending committee meetings.
Other expenses:
NICE recognises that in some circumstances individuals will need to arrange for carers or support workers to accompany them to a meeting, locum cover, or unpaid caring responsibilities while they are at a meeting - this includes childcare or care of a family member with a disability or other additional needs. The circumstances in which NICE can provide reimbursement for such costs are outlined in the non-staff reimbursement policy.
Time commitment:
The successful candidate will be expected to attend the remaining 5 day-long committee meetings that remain for this guideline's development period. There will then be one further committee meeting after we've had our public consultation. Dates can be found in the information for applicants download.
Our committees have been meeting virtually using online software since the COVID-19 pandemic. We will review this regularly but currently anticipate a small number of meetings may be held in person.
Committee members will have to spend time reading substantial committee documents and helping to produce consultation documents.
Membership will be for the duration of the guideline and will be eligible for renewal. Further periods of office can be for periods of up to 3 years by mutual agreement, up to a maximum of 10 years.
