Hilltop Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP (4 sessions per week) to join our progressive, patient-centred team in Brent. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality primary care and working within a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
The role is funded through the NHS GP Reimbursement Scheme and offers the opportunity to work with a vibrant and culturally diverse patient population. You will become part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team that is dedicated to improving health outcomes, reducing inequalities, and delivering accessible healthcare services tailored to the needs of our community.
We are committed to supporting our clinicians through effective administrative systems, a strong team ethos, and opportunities for ongoing professional development. Whether you are looking to broaden your experience in general practice, develop specialist interests, or contribute to service improvement initiatives, this role provides an excellent platform to do so.
The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027, subject to current NHS funding arrangements. However, extension may be possible by mutual agreement. We welcome applications from GPs who share our commitment to clinical excellence, compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to registered patients through a combination of face-to-face, telephone, and digital consultations. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, social prescribers, care coordinators, and administrative colleagues, to ensure patients receive coordinated and effective care. The role also involves reviewing clinical correspondence, laboratory results, medication management, and maintaining accurate clinical records using EMIS Web.
As part of the practice team, you will contribute to safeguarding responsibilities, clinical governance activities, quality improvement projects, and service development initiatives. There will be opportunities to participate in practice meetings, educational activities, and the ongoing development of services that support the needs of our local population. We are committed to supporting professional development and actively encourage candidates to develop additional skills and areas of expertise that will enhance both their career progression and the services we provide to our patients.
The role requires excellent communication, sound clinical judgement, and a commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centred care.

The post holder will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients in a primary care setting. Duties include consulting with patients, diagnosing and managing a wide range of health conditions, prescribing medications, referring to specialist services where appropriate, and contributing to the ongoing management of chronic diseases. About us
About us There has been a GP practice on Upper Chorlton Road since the early 20th century, originally run from a house opposite our current premises the first doctor even did his rounds by horse and carriage! In 1970, the practice moved to 240 Upper Chorlton Road, but outgrew the space. In April 1998, we relocated to 171 Upper Chorlton Road. A patients research revealed the building was once called Ashville, hence the name Ashville Surgery.
Five years ago, we became the first practice in Manchester to use AskmyGP, which has transformed patient access and helped us manage modern-day pressures more effectively.
Our large common room is often used for remote consultations, encouraging informal collaboration and shared learning with plenty of coffee and conversation! We hold regular clinical and organisational meetings, involving the whole team in decision-making where possible.
We're actively involved in GP federation and PCN work. Our excellent support team includes nurses, healthcare assistants, and trainee nurse practitioners.
We welcome applications from GPs interested in full-time, part-time, or portfolio roles, and are open to supporting special interests.
Clinical systems: AskmyGP, EMIS Web, AccuRx, and Docman 10.
