We are currently undergoing an expansion of our Advanced Clinical Practitioner workforce and looking for a driven, enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join the team of expanding ACP within Neurosurgery. We are looking for a motivated ACP to join our Skull base service working alongside Consultant Neurosurgeons, ENT, Endocrinology, Interventional Radiology and Allied health professionals in a well-established and supportive MDT. You will be supporting patients undergoing surgery and surveillance of skull base pathologies such as vestibular schwannomas, meningiomas, pituitary tumours, chondrosarcoma and Neurofibromatosis.
The post holder will need to have Neurosciences experience and have undertaken Msc degree (level 7) in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent. You must be able to work independently within the four pillars of advanced practice which include clinical practice, management and leadership, education and research.
The candidates will have excellent leadership and clinical skills, as well as evidence of continuing professional development. The candidate will have drive, ambition, passion, a flexible approach and be dedicated to working in a fast paced, challenging but exciting environment.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve the independent and autonomous practice of history taking, clinical examination, clinical investigations and interpretation and subsequently the diagnosis and management planning of the differentiated and diagnosed patient as well as the undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions.
Demonstrating a high level of expertise within the sub-speciality, you will manage and co-ordinate care pathways for elective surgical patients and acute skull base presentations with pituitary apoplexy, tumour progression and post-operative complications and will be expected to provide autonomous clinical review of skull base patients on the Neurosurgical Ward and Intensive Care Unit. You will have expertise in coordinating patient care pathways, patient education and supporting patients and families on their recovery journey.
With a strong focus on quality improvement, the post-holder will lead and support on service development initiatives within the service to include education, research and audit promoting patient safety and patient experience. Within the role, there will be opportunity to develop autonomous Nurse Led clinics providing comprehensive clinical assessment to improve symptom management, patient education and overall patient-centred care.
Your role will be integral to patient journey from outpatient assessment, preoperative planning, inpatient, post operative supportive care and outpatient surveillance.

The Immunology department at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust provides a diagnostic service for the local community serving a local population of approximately 500,000 and a referral service throughout the Southwest.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated team player to join Immunology & Immunogenetics as an Associate Practitioner. The successful candidate will work supporting Scientific Staff in the preparation and analysis of samples in the Department.
Please note the post will involve participation in a shift pattern 7am-3pm and 9am-5pm on a monthly rota.
The hours and days maybe subject to change depending on the operational requirements of the laboratory.
This is not a HCPC trainee post.

Job summary
The Non-Specific Symptom Pathway (NSSP) offers a single point of access to a diagnostic pathway for patients with non-specific symptoms. The post holder will need to work in close collaboration with care of the elderly Consultant at North Bristol NHST Trust and, Primary and secondary care to support a tailored pathway of clinically relevant diagnostic tests towards a timely diagnosis. The post holder will utilise skills of clinical expertise, education and management to ensure a high quality service for patients, carers and staff.
The NSSP CNS will undertake a pivotal role alongside the Pathway Navigator, liaising with patients who are referred, acting as the main point of contact, offering support and keeping patients informed at each stage. Once diagnosis is known, to refer to the appropriate team or back to the GP's for ongoing management ensuring a seamless transition of care. The post holder will work closely with the NSSP GP to support triage of referrals, liaising with colleagues within diagnostic services across Trusts to ensure that investigations and tests are timely and co-ordinated.
This post would be open to nurses with primary or secondary care experience as much of the role focuses on timely telephone triage and detailed record keeping. Whilst office based initially, WFH days could be considered for the right candidate and this role is a great step-up into a career within Oncology.Main duties of the job
The NSSP Clinical Nurse Specialist role is varied and constantly developing to meet the speciality needs and evolving site specific referral pathways within Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. You will be required to work autonomously at times and will need to utilise exceptional organisational and communication skills to guide patients, their families and carers through the pathway.
The role involves working with a small proportion of patients who will be diagnosed with cancer or other urgent diagnoses requiring quick and decisive treatment plans including possible urgent hospital admission. The nature of communication required is sensitive and therefore a high degree of empathy and understanding is required. Advance communication skills need to be used to deliver potentially distressing information to patients and carers, and provide them with advice and emotional support within in the community, utilising appropriate primary and secondary care services when required.
As a NSSP Clinical Nurse Specialist you will be using your expertise on cancer diagnostic pathways along with general medical knowledge to support patients, their carers and other health care professionals within an outpatient setting.

The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and booking of patients to have surgery in theatres and their pre-operative assessment appointments.
The main aim is fill and maintain full theatre lists on our IT systems, liaise with patients offering reasonable notice for their surgery, booking in priority, ensuring we book our patients in chronological order.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within the Blood Sciences Department in state of the art laboratories on the Southmead site. The redeveloped Southmead site opened in May 2014 and is one of Europe's leading hospitals.
The department provides a routine Biochemistry testing service to all inpatient, outpatient and GP surgeries in the North Bristol area. It has a workload of over 1 million specimen requests per annum.
The Clinical Biochemistry department offers an extensive range of diagnostic and clinical services, including an integrated Blood Sciences Automated Laboratory, Toxicology, Metabolic Biochemistry, Antenatal and Newborn Screening, and Point of Care Testing services. Job summary
The post holder will work within the Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and be responsible for providing a welcoming and efficient service as the patient first point of contact with the Emergency Department. Applications are invited from motivated and enthusiastic HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists who are looking to start or progress their careers in Clinical Biochemistry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within the Blood Sciences department in state of the art laboratories on the Southmead site. The redeveloped Southmead site opened in May 2014 and is one of Europe's leading hospitals.
The department provides a routine Biochemistry testing service to all inpatient, outpatient and GP surgeries in the North Bristol area. It has a workload of over 1 million specimen requests per annum.
The Clinical Biochemistry department offers an extensive range of diagnostic and clinical services, including an integrated Blood Sciences Automated Laboratory, Toxicology, Biochemical Genetics, Newborn Screening and Point of Care Testing services. The majority of the successful candidates will have the opportunity to rotate throughout the department and will be expected to participate in the department's 24-7 service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder under the direction of senior staff will be expected to:
- Work as part of a team to provide a diagnostic laboratory service in Clinical Biochemistry in accordance with National, Trust and Departmental policies and procedures on a rotational basis in all sections (Automation, Biochemical Genetics, Newborn Screening and Toxicology) of the laboratory.
- Participate in the training and development of other staff within the department.

The Reception and Appointment Clerk works across a number of sites providing reception, administrative and appointment booking support for Haematology and Oncology services. Communication:
