Job summary
General Practice Assistants (GPAs) form part of a multi-disciplinary team within primary care and support the clinicians in the smooth running of the surgery by handling routine administration and some basic clinical duties enabling the clinician to focus on the patient. Ultimately the aim is to improve the patients access/experience in practice.
General Practice assistants will operate under the supervision of GPs and at times other appropriately qualified clinicians.
This role will be based at The Grove, working 22.5 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

Main duties of the job
Preparing patients prior to going in to see the GP, taking a brief history and basic readings in readiness for the GP appointment.

Extracting all information from clinical letters that needs coding and adding to notes.
Dipping urine, taking blood pressure, ECGs & phlebotomy.
Sorting all clinical post and prioritising for the GP in terms of actions. Signposting some post to others such as clinical pharmacist etc.
Completing basic (non-opinion) forms and core elements of some forms for the GP to approve and sign such as insurance forms, mortgage, benefits agency forms etc.
Support the GP with immunisations/wound care.
Explaining treatment procedures to patients.
Helping the GP liaise with outside agencies e.g. getting an on call doctor on the phone to ask advice or arrange admission while the GP can continue with their consultations.

Job summary
The Barnsley Primary Care Network would like to recruit Qualified Nurse Associates to complement our current cohort within the PCN and the clinical workforce as a whole. These roles will be based at assigned practices within a Neighbourhood of our Network, supported by a Practice Nurse for mentorship.
The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the Registered Nurse and other members of the multi professional team, providing and monitoring care and contributing to the ongoing assessment, as agreed with the supervising clinician(s) and in line with the service pathways. They will monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi professional team, and will be involved in shaping and supporting patients to manage their clinical care needs and you will be central in ensuring they enjoy healthy fulfilling lives.
The role will be based in Hillbrow Surgery and Full time.
Main duties of the job
The Nurse Associate plays a key role in shaping the delivery of nursing care for the future. We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic individuals to support our nurses to deliver quality clinical care.
We expect that you will be NMC Registered, able to work independently and manage your own workload. You will need excellent communication skills, able to meet targets and liaise with patients, primary care staff and other partners.
The PCN is interested in supporting individuals with an interest in the Primary Care environemtn to develop their skills within this setting.

The Digital Content and Engagement Officer supports the organisations marketing and communications, Marcomms activity by producing high quality digital content and strengthening engagement across social media, websites and digital platforms. The post holder plays a key role in promoting organisational messages, enhancing brand identity and supporting the delivery of communication and marketing campaigns to internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit and publish digital content across social media, websites and online platforms to support Marcomms objectives.
- Assist in the development and delivery of marketing and communication campaigns.
- Produce graphics, videos, written content and promotional materials aligned with brand guidelines.
- Monitor digital engagement, respond to online enquiries and escalate issues appropriately.
- Support internal communications, newsletters and digital updates.
- Analyse digital performance data and prepare basic reports to inform marcomms planning.
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital outputs.
