Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Phlebotomist to compliment the role of the nurse and other Health Professionals and be an integral part and key member of care team.
You will make the best use of clinical skills within the practice to promote well-being and maximise health gain for patients and provide a safe, high quality and accessible treatment room service to our registered patients. We value teamwork, mutual support and a friendly working environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, ensuring proper labelling and handling, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. They will work closely with physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff to provide high-quality patient care.

Please note: Hours Full time, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and bank holidays to meet business needs. Housebound bloods will also be a requirement. (Part time also considered, minimum 24hrs).

Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to:

About us
Banbury Cross Health Centre was launched in September 2019, following the merger of West Bar Surgery, Banbury Health Centre and Horsefair Surgery. Banbury Cross Health Centre is managed by Principal Medical Limited (PML), a not-for-profit organisation.
We have two locations in Banbury town centre, at South Bar House and Bridge Street.
Banbury Cross Health Centre offers care and support from GPs, Nurses, Advance Health Practitioners, Allied Health Practitioners, Healthcare Assistants and Pharmacists. Supported by operational administrative teams to ensure efficiency within our care and treatment towards you our patients.
We are proud to be a training practice, helping qualified doctors, known as Registrars, complete the final stages of their GP training.
The practice is also unique in Oxfordshire in being its own Primary Care Network.

Department Core Purpose
The core purpose of the Pharmacy Department is to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines to improve patient outcomes and support high quality clinical care.
As a key member of the pharmacy leadership team, the Deputy Lead Pharmacist contributes to this purpose by providing expert professional and operational leadership across all aspects of pharmaceutical service delivery. The post holder supports the delivery of a responsive, patient-centred, and evidence based pharmacy service that underpins the organisations strategic objectives and clinical priorities.
With centralisation of pharmacy services across the BCHC and CRMP footprint, the Deputy Lead Pharmacist plays an integral part in supporting this core function of service delivery and patient safety.
Main duties of the job
Please note, this role will be based at both Cowley Road Medical Practice and Banbury Cross Health Centre. There will be an expected split of service delivery over both sites.
The Deputy Lead Pharmacist plays a key leadership and operational role within the Pharmacy Department, supporting the Lead Pharmacist in the strategic and day-to-day management of pharmacy services. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and high quality pharmaceutical care across BCHC and wider PML, ensuring compliance with clinical governance, medicines optimisation, and regulatory standards.
The Deputy Lead Pharmacist will provide expert clinical and professional advice, lead designated service areas or projects, and act as deputy in the absence of the Lead Pharmacist. This includes supporting workforce development, quality improvement initiatives, and having oversight of all trainees within the pharmacy team.

- We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Lead Research Nurse to join our award-winning research team at Banbury Cross Health Centre, part of the Thames Valley and Hampshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC).

Main duties of the job
- The Lead Research Nurse will provide clinical, operational and professional leadership for the research nursing service across Banbury Cross Health Centre and other PML sites. Role Purpose
- The Primary Care Diabetes Specialist Nurse provides expert clinical care, education, and support to patients with diabetes within primary care settings. Main duties of the job
