Job summary
We have two vacancies to work at our Guiseley & Yeadon Medical Practice on a permanent basis. This is due to a retirement and a relocation.
Each GP vacancy is to work 4 sessions (2 days) per week though a higher number of sessions may be considered. This will be working over 2 days and covering one half day of oncall each week on average:
These roles will be based at the Guiseley & Yeadon Medical Practice site in Yeadon - at Yeadon Health Centre and at Netherfield Road in Guiseley.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for highly motivated doctors to join our rapidly expanding medical team. Our big practice with a small friendly team approach is situated in purpose build premises in the pleasant residential areas of Guiseley and Yeadon in Leeds.
Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Practice has been working very closely with Aire Valley Surgery and this is a temporary collaborative arrangement whilst the GYMP practice continues to develop and continues to grow.
We are a training practice and participate in a range of enhanced services. Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Practice has a dedicated large team which consists of GPs including Registrars, A Physician Associate, Practice Pharmacist. We have a new Nursing Team and our attached staff in house include the Midwifes, First Contact Practitioners, Care Coordinator and we have two local care homes.
List size of approximately 11,000 at Guiseley & Yeadon Medical Practice
SystemOne and operating a total triage software system called Accurx
There is no requirement for any extended hours work
This includes a fair share of letters, path links and prescriptions
Salaried rates and job plan will be primarily based around recommended BMA

Our friendly growing team is situated in purpose build premises in the pleasant residential area of Yeadon and Guiseley of Leeds.
We are a training practice and participate in a range of enhanced services and currently work very closely with Aire Valley Surgery. Main duties of the job
Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Practice is looking to appoint a Lead Nurse with strategic vision to lead and develop our growing Nursing Team.
JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
The post holder will be practising autonomously as a Practice Nurse, Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner within the designated speciality area of primary care to provide patient-centred clinical care.
The post holder will support new ways of working that emphasises an efficient and patient focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral including the management of patients with long term conditions in primary care.
You will have responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues, the management team and partners.
The post holder will deliver a clinical component to their role and there will be protected Management Time protected for matters related to appraisal, clinical audit, teaching, leadership and management, continuous professional development and research.

Job summary
This role is to work at Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Practice, which is a GP surgery with sites in Yeadon and Guiseley.
Guiseley and Yeadon Medical Practice is currently working very closely with Aire Valley Surgery with a strong plan over the next year to grow our nursing team. There is always a lot going on, and we have a very friendly supportive team.
The Surgery has 11000 patients and growing, approximately 50 staff and is a training practice.
This is an opportunity for a Band 6 equivalent Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Team to help offer Primary Care Nursing to our population. It may also be possible to come to us as a band 5 Nurse with training and support available.
Within the Clinical team there is Lead Nurse, 1 x Band 5, 1 band 6 4 HCAs and a Phlebotomist - everyone work across our two sites.
Further training and skills development can be given to the successful candidate, although experience of working in a similar role in a GP practice would be extremely favourable.
Main duties of the job
This position is working somewhere 22.5 - 37.5 hours per week, but these hours will include some 8am starts and some 6pm finishes to enable access for our working patients.

COVID/Flu Vaccinations
Travel Vaccinations and travel advice
