Job summary
As our services grow we now need to add to our Service team.
This post is a rolling recruitment and we may close the post early.
We have 1 role that involve ensuring the smooth operation and staffing of the Extended Hours service offered throughout Wigan and Leigh.
The Service coordinator is responsible to the Service Manager and duties include ensuring that rotas for staff working in the Alliances Hub locations are fully completed and updated. The successful candidate needs to be both proactive and reactive as this is an ever changing role. Hub staff not being available at short notice presents varying difficulties the coordinator would need to resolve in what is sometimes a short period of time. It involves thinking on your feet, remaining calm and being positive.
Main duties of the job
The service coordinator is part of a small but vital team ensuring the successful delivery of Primary Care appointments throughout the Borough of Wigan, to cover evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Hours of work are:
we have one shift pattern:-
Tuesday, Wednesday ,Thursday and Friday 12:00 - 20:00. Saturday 08:00 - 16:00.
As the Alliance grows so will the diversity of opportunities and duties within the organisation and this opportunity has become available due to a promotion within the Alliance.
Previous experience of working within a GP Surgery is an advantage but training will be provided for the successful candidates.
The successful applicant must have good attention to detail and ability to operate different IT systems (training given).
There is a requirement for the successful candidate to attend any of the Extended Hours hubs during their working patterns so a full driving license is essential. Travel whilst working will be in one of the Company vehicles but the successful applicant must have access to their own vehicle.

Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated GP with an Extended Role (GPwER) in Breast Surgery to join the existing Breast Team for 3 sessions per week. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with a strong interest in breast disease, cancer pathways and ambulatory assessment to support the ongoing development of the service.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering family history clinics, supporting the development of a breast pain pathway, assisting with triple assessment clinics for urgent suspected cancer referrals, and contributing to referral triage and pathway optimisation. Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical link workers who give time, focus on what matters to me and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support. Link Workers support existing groups to be accessible and sustainable and help people to start new community groups, working collaboratively with all local partners.
Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing peoples active involvement with their local communities. Job summary
We are looking for Salaried GPs to join our established and supportive primary care team at Holderness Health. This is a flexible opportunity with sessions - up to 8 per week - negotiable, including a regular Enhanced Access session one day per week, offering additional flexibility for clinicians interested in extended hours working.
The role is ideal for an experienced GP or someone newly qualified who is looking to develop their career within a forward thinking practice.
The post holder will provide high quality, patient centred general medical services to our registered and temporary patients, working collaboratively with the wider clinical and nonclinical team to meet a broad range of health needs.
Main duties of the job
You will deliver high quality, patient centred GP services including face to face and telephone consultations, home visits, Duty Doctor cover and weekly participation in Enhanced Access services. You will manage acute, chronic, complex and undifferentiated conditions and develop care plans with patients.
You will prescribe safely in line with guidance, keep accurate clinical records, and contribute to QOF and quality improvement activity. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team of GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, First Contact Physiotherapists, Proactive Care Team including Social Prescribers and Mental Health Worker, you will be committed to delivering excellent patient care and positive patient outcomes, with a focus on supporting continuity of care for our most complex patients.
We are looking for a fully qualified GP with GMC registration, on the NHS Medical Performers List or nearing completion of training. You will have strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, good organisation and a compassionate, professional approach. Job summary
We have unfortunately been let down by a candidate for this position, and therefore find ourselves re-starting the recruitment process for an experienced Practice Nurse with proven general practice treatment room duties, preferably with long term conditions knowledge or a willingness to train in LTCs, to join our existing nursing team and support our growth and expansion.
We would be willing to hear from recently qualified general practice nurses with some experience in general practice, or Nurse Associates who are looking to develop and grow with a practice that is keen to support staff development. This is a full-time post for a Specialty Doctor with significant experience in General and Upper GI Surgery. An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join and support the surgical team. The successful applicant will be expected to work within the Upper GI subspecialty team. The Surgical Department maintains a busy full shift emergency and general surgical commitment.
It is expected that this post will provide you with good experience in looking after acute and elective general surgical adult patients.
During the Consultants' on-call week, there will be daily Post-Take Ward Rounds and no routine clinical activities.
Almost half of the surgical admissions to the hospital are emergencies. This will provide the post holder with ample experience in the management of the acute abdomen, head injury, and common general surgical emergencies. There is excellent back up for managing critically ill patients from consultant anaesthetists and intensivists. They provide help with resuscitation and transfer of patients with major head injuries to neurosurgical units.
It is expected that you will become familiar with the pre/peri- and post-operative management of patients in the general surgical specialties and will acquire the practical skills appropriate to your level of training to support the general surgery department.

Main duties of the job
