Job summary
Cruddas Park Surgery are excited to recruit a Salaried GP for six sessions including one fellowship session (negotiable/pro-rata). The post would offer a new challenge to an established GP or the opportunity to flourish as a newly qualified GP.
Cruddas Park Surgery believe we offer a unique approach to Deep End primary care supporting the most vulnerable and invisible through our motivated and expert clinical and non-clinical staff, specialist clinics (including Health Inclusion drop ins, Learning Disability and Special Allocation Scheme), links with the VCSE and Local Authority, and innovative approaches to tackling mental illness through The Space, our multi-agency one stop mental health hub.
The fellowship session has been a successful model in the past and would include a mutually agreed period of protected non-clinical time and regular senior supervision on joining the practice. This session would then become an opportunity to develop an area of clinical or non-clinical interest which was of benefit to our patients.
Employment is subject to the terms of the BMA contract at £12,925 per session including paid CPD time and 6 weeks holiday pro rata. Current routine sessions are 11 new patient face to face appointments. A shared practice electric car is available for home visiting. We have a clear desk policy for holidays and active social calendar including a running club.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage an unselected caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients in line with local and national guidelines as well as practice policies. They would be expected to contribute to the pro-rata Duty and Triage rota and home visits; assist in education, supervision and training; as well as play a full role in achieving local and national targets and quality improvement targets. Job responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a patient based caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Clinical Responsibilities:

Job summary
North House Surgery, located in Crook have an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at North House Surgery.
North House Surgery is a friendly Practice with an approximate list size of 13500 patients. We are a busy Practice situated in the heart of Crook. We are looking forward to welcoming a Practice Nurse to enhance our team.
As well as general practice nursing duties (including, but not exclusive to, women's health and screening, vaccinations, injections and health promotion), this post has a substantial focus on delivering effective individualised care to patients living with a chronic disease.
The successful candidate will be required to work within the professional boundaries of a qualified nurse and provide an extremely high standard of nursing care for patients registered at the practice.
Main duties of the job
- To assess the needs of patients ensuring the provision of healthcare is appropriate, incorporating evidence-based practice.
- To identify, manage and support patients at risk of developing long-term conditions, preventing adverse effects to patients health.
- To carry out long term condition reviews e.g. respiratory reviews, diabetes reviews etc.
- As required, to provide routine nursing care to patients in accordance with clinical based evidence, NICE and the NSF.
- To prescribe medication for patients in accordance with PGDs and own scope of practice.
- Provide wound management/wound care.
- To administer travel vaccinations.
- To request pathology services and process pathology results as required.
- To maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with extant legislation.
- To assist GPs with minor surgery when required.
- To prioritise health issues and intervene appropriately.

About us
Our current clinical team consists of 6 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 2 ANPs and 2 GP Registrars.
Our surgery is housed in purpose-built accommodation located in the semi-rural town of Crook. We also serve the surrounding villages of Howden-le-Wear and Witton-le-Wear.
North House Surgery is a well-established training practice. We have a strong focus on education and we run regular in-house teaching sessions.
We have a fantastic nursing team including 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Nursing Associate, 4 Health Care Assistants, and a Phlebotomist. North House Surgery is also well supported by Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescribers and Wellbeing Coach.
Our CQC inspection was very positive with us gaining an overall score of Good. The Practice is actively involved in our local PCN and Federation.
Our Clinicians are supported by an excellent administrative team led by our experienced Practice Manager. They work hard to ensure the Practice runs smoothly.

Job Summary
To work within the professional boundaries of a qualified nurse. To provide and maintain an extremely high standard of nursing care for patients registered at the practice as well as providing nursing assistance to the GP/Nurse Practitioner Team.
Responsible for working as part of the primary care team providing a comprehensive range of general nursing and clinical duties.
The Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing a range of treatment room procedures including wound care, removal of sutures, injections, immunisations, health checks, cervical screening and chronic disease management (please also refer to primary key responsibilities and person specification below).
North House Surgery will ensure that the post holder has access to appropriate clinical supervision and an appropriate named individual in the organisation to provide general advice and support on a day-to-day basis.
Primary Key Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Practice Nurse. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- To assess the needs of patients ensuring the provision of healthcare is appropriate, incorporating evidence-based practice.

Primary Key Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Practice Nurse. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- To assess the needs of patients ensuring the provision of healthcare is appropriate, incorporating evidence-based practice.
- To develop, implement and embed health promotion and wellbeing programmes.
- To identify, manage and support patients at risk of developing long-term conditions, preventing adverse effects to patients health.

North House Surgery, located in Crook, have an exciting opportunity for a part-time, fixed term Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at North House Surgery.
North House Surgery is a friendly Practice with an approximate list size of 13500 patients. We are a busy Practice situated in the heart of Crook. We are looking forward to welcoming a Practice Nurse to enhance our team.
As well as general practice nursing duties (including, but not exclusive to, women's health and screening, vaccinations, injections and health promotion), this post has a substantial focus on delivering effective individualised care to patients living with a chronic disease.
The successful candidate will be required to work within the professional boundaries of a qualified nurse and provide an extremely high standard of nursing care for patients registered at the practice.

About us
Our current clinical team consists of 6 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 2 ANPs and 2 GP Registrars.
Our surgery is housed in purpose-built accommodation located in the semi-rural town of Crook. We also serve the surrounding villages of Howden-le-Wear and Witton-le-Wear.
North House Surgery is a well-established training practice. We have a strong focus on education and we run regular in-house teaching sessions.
We have a fantastic nursing team including 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Nursing Associate, 4 Health Care Assistants, and a Phlebotomist. North House Surgery is also well supported by Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescribers and Wellbeing Coach.
Our CQC inspection was very positive with us gaining an overall score of Good. The Practice is actively involved in our local PCN and Federation.
Our Clinicians are supported by an excellent administrative team led by our experienced Practice Manager. They work hard to ensure the Practice runs smoothly.
