Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Practice

● Perform all duties required within, or on behalf of the community pharmacy. This includes all Essential, Additional and Enhanced services which are locally or nationally commissioned. This will include but not limited to:

○ Labelling and assembly of prescription items

○ Accurate endorsing of prescriptions

○ Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment

○ Collection of prescriptions and or delivering dispensed items as may be required.

○ Placing, receiving and putting orders into stock.

● Follow national and local guidance at all times, with particular regard to “Medicines, ethics in Practice” (MEP), current addition.

Communication

● Communicate effectively with the patient, relatives, carers and all members of the healthcare team.
