We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our welcoming GP practice for 4 days per week, including Mondays. You will work as part of a friendly, supportive multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality, patient-centred care to patients with a wide range of acute and chronic health needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative practice that values professional development and encourages autonomous clinical practice. You'll have the chance to further develop your skills, contribute to service improvement, and work alongside experienced clinicians in a positive and supportive environment.
The role also offers excellent opportunities for career progression, with the potential to develop your clinical interests and take on additional responsibilities over time. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity for the position to become permanent following the initial contract.
Main duties of the job
You will provide autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a range of acute and chronic conditions within a GP practice. Patient contacts are generated through the practice's online triage system, with requests clinically assessed by a GP and allocated to you within an agreed number of daily contacts. You will manage your allocated patients, request investigations, prescribe where appropriately qualified, make referrals when required, and maintain accurate clinical records. Working closely with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care while supporting the ongoing development of practice services.
About us
We are a friendly, forward-thinking GP training practice that prides itself on delivering excellent patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment. We value teamwork, flexibility and continuous learning, ensuring every member of staff feels supported to develop and thrive.
Professional development is at the heart of our practice. We encourage clinicians to pursue specialist interests and further training, with genuine opportunities for growth. Our Senior GP Partner joined the practice as a GP Registrar, demonstrating our commitment to developing and retaining talent.
We are actively involved in our local community and wider Primary Care Network. Our team includes a GP Partner who is also a PCN Clinical Director, a GP who teaches at the University of Warwick, and another who leads specialist outreach clinics. You'll also benefit from working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, including an HRT Nurse Specialist, First Contact Physiotherapist, Paramedic, and Mental Health Practitioners from MIND.
With dedicated Duty Doctor and Admin Doctor support, you'll always have experienced colleagues available for advice and clinical discussion. If you're looking to join a welcoming practice that values innovation, teamwork and career development, we'd love to hear from you.
