Job summary
***Development (preceptorship) post - we welcome applications from newly qualified psychologists, through to those looking for an 8a position***
This opportunity to specialise in functional gastrointestinal conditions with the Biofeedback Team sits within the specialist Psychological Medicines Unit (PMU) at Central Middlesex Hospital. As an acknowledged centre of excellence, St Mark's provides 'state of the art' surgical and medical interventions in a research active environment. This is an exceptionally interesting setting for psychologists working at the interface of mental and physical health with clients who are socially stigmatised and often dealing with trauma and shame.
As this is a band 7-8a development post, it is suitable for those who are newly qualified, through to those who have existing clinical health psychology experience and are at - or ready to work at - 8a level. The roles and responsibilities can mould to match the existing and developing skills of the successful candidate. If the appointee is newly qualified, a development plan will be established to link them with the 8a aspects of the post over a 12-24 month period via a preceptorship model.
Informal enquiries or visits are very welcome.
