Job summary

A forward-thinking, innovative practice by the sea

We are a well-established, friendly practice caring for around 12,600 patients on the coast just east of Brighton.

Our clinical team is four GP partners and five salaried GPs, supported by practice nurses, healthcare assistants, clinical pharmacists, an advanced nurse practitioner and a paramedic. We are part of Deans & Central Brighton Primary Care Network.

Why GPs join us
  • A real team. Partners and salaried GPs work side by side, with daily clinical support and an open-door culture
  • Protected workload. Our multi-disciplinary team shares the load, including most home visits by our paramedic and workflow and document management by trained admin staff
  • Continuity of care. Every patient has a named GP, so you build relationships with the people you look after
  • Modern access. Online requests through Accurx help patients reach the right clinician first time
  • Room to grow. Development and special interests are encouraged, with opportunities to teach medical students from Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
  • Location. Seaside living with Brighton, the South Downs and London (about an hour by train) on the doorstep
Main duties of the job

You will provide the full range of general medical services as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

  • Face-to-face, telephone and video consultations, with 15-minute appointments
  • Triage and management of online and on-the-day requests, alongside colleagues
  • Long-term condition management and care planning in line with NICE and local guidance
  • Reviewing results, correspondence and prescriptions in protected admin time
  • Occasional home visits, shared across the clinical team
  • Supervising and supporting our ARRS clinicians, nurses and students
  • Clinical meetings, significant event reviews and quality improvement
  • The option to take a lead area, such as a QOF domain, prescribing, safeguarding or care homes
