Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team at William Fisher Medical Centre.
We are a well-established dispensing practice serving a growing patient population in the beautiful semi-rural Dengie Peninsula. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining a positive work-life balance for our clinicians. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking a welcoming practice environment with strong multidisciplinary support and opportunities to develop special interests.
Main duties of the job
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Access, diagnose, treat and appropriately manage patients in accordance with current clinical guidelines and best practice.
- Conduct face -to -face consultations, Accurx and telephone consultations.
- Undertake home visits when clinically necessary and in accordance with practice arrangements.
- Prescribe safely and appropriately in accordance with local and national guidelines.
- Review test results, correspondence and other clinical information requiring GP action.
- Provide health promotion, disease prevention and lifestyle advice to patients.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns involving children and adults.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, practice nurses, health care assistants, administrative staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain registration and license to practice with the GMC

William Fisher Medical Centre is a long-established practice, serving a population of just over 6000 patients. We have 2 partners and an excellent clinical mix of 2 salaried GPs, an ANP, NPs and practices nurses, with a strong, organised administrative team, including a practice manager and Operations Team Leader.
