Job Summary
Old Kent Road Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team. We welcome applications for both full-time and part-time positions.
We are an established, forward-thinking practice with a team of eight GPs providing high-quality primary care to a diverse and multicultural patient population in South East London. Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the Role
- A mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations.
- Home visits as part of the clinical rota.
- Participation in the duty doctor/on-call rota.
- Reviewing investigations, prescriptions, correspondence and clinical documents.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake the full range of duties associated with General Practice, including:
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
- Prescribe safely and in accordance with national and local guidance.
- Review laboratory results, correspondence and clinical documentation.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web.
- Participate in duty doctor sessions and urgent care as part of the practice rota.
- Refer patients appropriately to secondary and community care services.
- Participate in practice meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Comply with all practice policies relating to confidentiality, safeguarding, information governance and health and safety.
