We are currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individuals to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Operative - Domestic/Ward Catering based at Chepstow Community Hospital. These roles is vital in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff while supporting the delivery of high-quality catering services on our wards.
Main duties of the job
What You'll Do
As a Facilities Operative, you will undertake a variety of domestic cleaning and ward catering duties, including:
- Cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas to agreed standards.
- Cleaning floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, washrooms and patient areas.
- Collecting and disposing of waste safely.
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
- Assisting with patient meal and beverage services.
- Maintaining ward kitchens to a high standard of hygiene.
- Monitoring food temperatures and refrigeration checks.
- Ordering and managing catering supplies and stock rotation.
- Supporting patient hydration by replenishing water jugs and maintaining drinking equipment.
