Job summary

Churchmere Medical Group is seeking a highly organised and professional Medical Secretary & Clinical Correspondence Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative and IT skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that clinical correspondence, referrals, patient records and associated documentation are processed efficiently and accurately, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

While previous experience in a similar role is desirable, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

  • Process and manage clinical correspondence, referrals and patient records.
  • Scan, attach and code documents accurately within the clinical system.
  • Process test results, reports and information requests, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Liaise with hospitals, community services and other healthcare organisations.
  • Provide administrative support, including handling enquiries, typing correspondence and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support the wider practice team while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with practice procedures.

    • Process all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including hospital letters and clinical documentation.
    • Scan, attach and accurately code documents within patient healthcare records.
    • Manage clinical correspondence received from hospitals and other healthcare providers.
